Do you know this sea critter from the Pacific Northwest?
Theses critters run in swarms or smacks. They predate the dinosaurs by more than 400 million years with one species thought to be immortal (take that Edward Cullen!). Similar to the Wizard of Oz these critters lack hearts and brains. Even in death they can leave a “lasting impression.” Today’s critter is one of the largest of its kind with its “body” reaching 8 feet across and its “arms” reaching more than 200 feet long! (you had better drink A LOT of water to "neutralize" this critter...)
ANSWER is the Cyanea capillata, aka the Lions Mane jellyfish!
