Seafood Watch Coming to Local Washington Area Stores!

Recently while grocery shopping at my local Whole Foods Market, my questions about certain fish selections they were offering caught the attention of Bruce, the seafood manager, which led to an excellent conversation regarding responsible seafood selection. I was excited to learn that Whole Foods Market locations in Washington are going to start implementing the color-coded seafood rating system as found in the Sustainable Seafood Guide from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Iemanya Oceanica in their seafood departments this year!

These in-store color-coded ratings will make it even easier for customers to keep sustainable options in mind as they make decisions about their seafood purchases.
