PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Shipwreck Wednesday brings you the wreck of the Andalusia! This Panamanian steamship caught fire in 1949 in Neah Bay. In an attempt to stabilize the ship to put out the fire, the captain ran her aground. Now lodged in a jagged reef of rock, she cracked amidships and sank in 50' of water after 4 days of attempting to salvage her. This wreck is diveable and is located in front of the Snow Creek Resort.  Click here to read more about this wreck!

Shipwreck Wednesday brings you the wreck of the CARRIER PIGEON! Although on her maiden voyage in 1853 from Boston she endured the dangerous Cape Horn passage she fell victim to the Santa Cruz coastline and sunk. The Pigeon Point Lighthous...e was built on a point near where the wreck occurred and named in memory of the Carrier Pigeon.
